If you’re still not angered by the fact that women serving in our military are being sexually assaulted and raped by
fellow soldiers, you definitely need to visit My Duty to Speak and read the firsthand accounts from women who have survived this atrocity.
Some excerpts from actual survivors:
“Against my will, I was forced to deal with rape, sexual harrassment, threats of harm, being drugged against my will.”
“I know many women that were raped. Probably more than half of the women in my class.”
“I didn’t report it. I knew better. I couldn’t tell my family because I knew it would devastate them.”
“I was rejected and dehumanized by everyone in my unit. I had a scarlet letter on my forehead.”
Take some time to educate yourself. And PLEASE open your hearts (and your wallets) to contribute to our film, “Carla.” The story of these women must be told and the truth exposed. There are just TWO DAYS LEFT to raise a lot of money. So please spread the word.
